    Description

******* PRICE is 9 ****** This is Phoenix Coyotes star forward Shane Doan's game-worn and autographed home helmet that he wore in parts of the 1996-97 and 1997-98 NHL seasons, the team's first two years in Arizona after relocating from Winnipeg. Doan played in 63 games in 96-97 and had 4 goals and 8 assists and started the 97-98 season in the minors before playing in 33 games for the Coyotes and had 5 goals and 6 assists. This old-style CCM helmet has heavy overall use, all original team logos and with lots of sweat wear on the inside padding. The team wore the old Coyotes head logos behind both ears on their home helmets only from 1996-98 before moving them to the sides in 1998-99. At one point in 97-98, Doan and a few other players _ including defensemen Teppo Numminen and Norm MacIver (see photos) _ changed out their white chin strap holders with black ones and a few wore special white-and-green CCM chin straps. Doan has signed this helmet in silver paint pen. He became a star by 1999-2000 when he had 26 goals. The team retired his #19 in a ceremony on Feb. 24, 2019. This one-of-a-kind helmet was obtained directly
from the Coyotes in 1999 and "Doaner" signed it in 2000. ********
