    Description

****** PRICE is 0 ****** These are 14-inch black leather and nylon Koho gloves that were made for Tony Amonte to wear in the 2001-02 NHL season when he played for the Chicago Blackhawks and continued to use Koho wood sticks. They show moderate overall use with some palm wear but don't have any name stamping or number written anywhere on them and were only worn in practice. Amonte wore game gloves from another manufacturer back then but took these gloves to Arizona when he joined the Phoenix Coyotes for the 2002-03 season, his only year with the team and its final year of its old colors. Amonte started using sticks and gloves from another company but got off to a slow scoring start that season and switched back to Koho wood sticks and began wearing new style gloves that Koho made for him in green and red. (see game photos). He had 13
goals and 23 assists in 49 games before being traded to the Philadelphia Flyers in March 2003 and started wearing black Koho gloves very similar to these.
Amonte had 900 points in 1,174 career NHL games with the Blackhawks, Coyotes, Flyers and Flames and is in the US Hockey Hall of Fame as one of the best American-born players ever. These gloves were obtained directly from the Coyotes after the 02-03 season.
