Who are we?

Cathy and Bruce did not come to bookselling by the usual route.  No degree in the humanities and no long-simmering dream to open a store.  Bruce found a volunteer job reading to little guys at the Martin Trust Early Learning Center and from that germ came the idea for Turtle Books.  The headlines are full of news about kids losing interest in reading and Bruce and Cathy hope that they can help make a difference in bending the curve to foster the love of reading in children.
