Silent Book Club / Concert

This is a very special event that will combine the first meeting of the Turtle Books Silent Book Club with a concert by Melissa and Chris on cello and guitar.   We’ll meet at 6, socialize for 20 minutes, then read to ourselves (together) for an hour, and finish with refreshments.  Simply BYOB (bring your own book) and read.  We start at 6 and end by 8.

Children are welcome if they are capable (and willing) to read quietly for an hour.  You know your kid and can decide.

If you haven’t heard of a Silent Book Club, then check out these links.  This is a no-stress event.  What you read is up to you and no awkward discussions required regarding character, motivation, and plot (unless you want to).   Just read, while listening to the gentle melodies provided by our musicians and enjoy the camaraderie of other joyful readers.
